Re: what size are drive sahft seals

Diff oil seal is AUD5738 http://www.somerfordmini.co.uk/eshop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=327&products_id=12584 the Hub seal...

Billy I got that questionnaire too, I just filled it in and sent it back, it seems it only went to Eventbrite customers and obviously th...

You need to use a third party hosting site, photobucket is still available but is now a subscription service, there are other websites that are still free, you could try postimage.org for example.

I've edited your post there Geoffory.

When posting photos from Postimage.org use the "Direct Link" address and the "Img" option on the forums Post a Reply box . This gives full size photos in your reply rather than a redirect thumbnail link to the host website.

Re: main bearings 1275

There are different bearings for A and A+ blocks, changes in late 1983, sound like you have ordered or been sent the wrong ones. What year is your engine ?

Re: Maximum Mini

If you can get a new copy of Maximum Mini 1 for €200 buy it.

There are presently only two copies available on Amazon, second hand, and they are over €750 each.

Re: Project Lexi

There is a proper pipe bending tool that does the job perfectly and is worth sourcing if you can. Otherwise you could use some large sockets as dies to create the radius and by large I mean inch and a half plus you want to avoid tight bends as the pipe will link easily and then you are in trouble. Re: Trailer for sale.

It's rated at 650kg capacity so can take a fair load. It runs 12" wheels too :)
It has rear support steady legs which would make it very stable when unhitched.

Re: Final Drive Ratio's

The 3.44 diff does roughly 17mph per 1000 revs on 12" wheels.
Some Metro City and L models came with a 3.6 diff which would be closer to 16mph/1000rpm.

Re: IMM Ticket

Get a lift with someone, get the bus, bring a non Mini (you just need to park it in the Non-Mini area).
IMM is really about the weekend, Friday to Monday, the Sunday Show will let you see the cars but it wont give you an idea of what the IMM is about.
