Re: carburetor issue

Hi Adam,
if you don't get it sorted i could pop round or you could come over to me and we'd have a look at it.
I'm in Deansgrange,

Re: teething Problems with rebuild 1275

what RPM are you running at 75mph? is the cam timed correctly? also is the spring/needle correct? could be that the carb-piston is fully up (open) when you get to 75, so wont give more - in that case you might need a heavier spring. see this thread: http://www.theminiforum.co.uk/forums/topic/146506-...

Re: Vtec Clubman Help

Given all that's been said above and before you start down that road, consider a fully sorted supercharger install. Not the same power admittedly, but 90% of driving will never use the full power of a vtec.

Disclaimer: I've never built a vtec, not even driven one.

Re: Insurance policy, massive increase

I have just received notification of the renewal of my insurance and shocked at the increase. I have a multi car policy with AXA with 2 cars on it. Last year if was €239 and now it's €359. Over 50% increase. Can anybody give me suggestions of other insurances companies that do vintage multi policie...

I've never met a mechanical engineer that couldn't draw beautifully. Great illustration.

MPi ECU

how to reset your ECU (MPi) if you replace a sensor.

1] turn ignition on - engine *not* running
2] press accelerator all the way to the floor 10 times
3] turn off ignition

That's a real shame, because it looks like a nice clean car.

I'd be looking for a replacement car from the garage during the repair under warranty period.
Or my money back.

axa, and yes, they are quite cheap - its down as a second car, limited mileage but full comprehensive, step back windscreen & recovery etc.

Spi relay pack

image.jpeg
So, I'm on my third relay pack, getting fed up with this, the starter relay seems to have failed again. Thinking of replacing the pack with 4 relays.

Anyone attempted this?

I was about to launch into it when I spotted 4 resistors & a capacitor?
