Post any clips of minis in television programmes that you can think of where the mini is very much a part of the show.

Re: Petrol/Engine Issue

Do you have a stand alone fuel pressure regulator fitted?

I had similar problems years ago with one of them, changed to a filter King and no more problems

KAZ for sale, gauging interest

I think the time has come for me to pass on my old timer, It's been fun the 15 or so years but I just don't get to use him anymore so I'm just gauging interest, Having looked around for minis selling with the same sort of spec and then around the same age (he'll be 50 next year!) I am thinking aroun...

Re: Final Drive Ratio's

Depending on how accurate your numbers are (and tyre size) 60mph @4000rpm gives you a diff ratio of about 3.9 to 4.1. 3.44 is considered the best compromise of top speed and acceleration. If you feel the engine has a bit more torque and your not into standing starts off the lights I'd consider 3.2 ...

Re: Final Drive Ratio's

Generally the higher the numbers of the diff (3.9 - 4.6) the lower top speed you will have, but your acceleration will be better, The lower the diff (3.7 - 3.1ish) the higher the top speed, but your acceleration will suffer. By the sounds of it you may have a 3.7 or 3.6 fitted to your own BTW, from ...

50th anniversary of the MKII mini

Just thought I'd throw this out there as I hadn't seen anything about it anywhere. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the mkII mini, Their production run started in 1967 and only ran for the next two years until 1969 when they were superseded by the mkIII, by far one of the shortest runs of any...

Re: Vtec Clubman Help

Just as an aside to the whole gearing thing with minis, I have a straight cut 4 speed box on my own mini (1380 stage 5ish) which I changed the final drive to a 3.1, that coupled with the 1.1 straight cuts means I can move a lot faster than standard minis, but in doing so I have lost some of the lowe...
